A scarlet horse with a floral pattern

The expressive pattern of leaves and umbelliferous plant is created by red-white lines and dots on the red body of the horse. The dynamics of leaf movement reminds us of the flames, and the points around them remind sparks, smoke and ashes of the fire.

White, red, black are the first three colours that ancient people learned to distinguish in the world around them. They are also given magical power, symbolic meanings. It is these three colours that we most often find in ornaments on traditional fabrics, ritual masks, amulets and in drawings on the bodies of warriors. A similar attitude to red, white and black we find in Africa, South America, Australia and Oceania.
